Experience Tasmania's Tamar Valley at its Best

Cellar Door

Our Farm, Vineyard & Cellar Door is located just 35 mins from Launceston in the beautiful Tamar Valley.

Our Cellar Door is tucked away on Glendale Farm behind an ageing red door in the lean-to of the old timber apple packing shed. Meander along Glendale Road and around a corner or two to discover our wines, meet Andrew and Prue, have a chat and take in the magical rural views.

You wont find a crowded bar here, with people jostling for position. Wine is made to be enjoyed after all.

Come in, sit down, relax and enjoy. Discover the diamond in the rough, be adventurous, drive up that dirt road and discover a grass-roots, down to earth family farm, vineyard and cellar door for yourself.

Come in, Sit Down, Relax & Enjoy

History

Glendale Farm was a successful apple & pear orchard from the early 1930's to the 1960's, planted and managed by the Wright family. But like many Tasmanian orchards it became uneconomic and the trees were pulled out and the land put down to pasture.

We are lucky enough to have several timber outbuildings on site in various forms of disrepair, including the recently renovated Cottage, the original stables and apple packing shed. We hope to restore and re-purpose them in time.

We would be happy to share more of Glendale Farm's history when you visit our Cellar Door
